WELCOME TO DTU CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

At the AT CERE Research Centre it is our objective to meet the challenges of today’s petroleum, chemical, material and biotech industries through deep insights, innovative discoveries and the highest level of international research expertise.

In the research group Biological Conversions group, BioCon, it is our goal to develop and validate new technologies based on the use of microorganisms as a tool to convert organic waste and wastewater to useful biproducts, biofuel and bioenergy.

Our main purpose is to perform research and provide education that will contribute to advancing technologies for future more sustainable (Bio)chemical production processes. Our activities also include digitalization of production processes and we address societal challenges, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.

At the CHEC Research Centre we focus on chemical engineering principles applied in combustion, harmful emission control, gasification, catalysis, continuous production of pharmaceuticals and advanced measuring technology. Our primary expertise covers chemical reaction engineering and transport phenomena.

The centre covers coating technologies along the entire value chain from raw materials, over formulation, test and characterization to production and application. In the broad perspective, the centre supports development, production and use of coatings with improved sustainability profiles over the lifetime of the coating.

At the Danish Polymer Centre we play an internationally leading role in the research of extensional rheology, silicone elastomers and synthesis of polymers. Our primary objective is to develop, implement and apply polymers in commercial products to assist and provide support for the Danish as well as international polymer industry.

KT Consortium is an industry-academia collaboration where members are provided networking opportunities and state-of-the-art methods and tools for chemical and biochemical engineering with emphasis in Process Systems Engineering (PSE), applied thermodynamics and property prediction.

At PILOT PLANT our main activities are based on the path from laboratory scale to pilot scale experimental processes with a strong focus on industrial practice.
