DTU has signed an official collaboration agreement with Åbo Academy and NTNU in order to strengthen the Nordic scientific research profile internationally.

On August 11, DTU entered into an official collaboration with Finnish university Åbo Academy and Norwegian NTNU. The overall goal of the collaboration is to strengthen the three universities’ position in the global competition within, among other things, chemical and biochemical engineering.

“We regard the work of Åbo Academy within the research profile Molecular Process- and Material Technology as very promising and progressing and it matches the ambitions of DTU within the area. We hope to be able to create a good collaboration based on our common interests,“ says Kim Dam-Johansen, Head of Department at DTU Chemical and Biochemical Engineering to the Åbo Academy website.

The three partner universities have agreed to a joint collaboration enabling them to share knowledge and research cost-efficiently in order to create innovation and increase the interaction between university and society. The hope is that Denmark, Norway and Finland can all benefit as societies from working together in these areas of science.

The collaboration agreement has already been put into effect.
