Experience with demonstration project required

We are looking for 1-2 project officers to a large European demonstration project, ConsenCUS at AT-CERE. The project is within the field of green technologies with a focus on carbon capture and utilization. We are looking for a person to help manage this project for AT-CERE.

The ConsenCUS project is a large Horizon 2020 project with 19 international partners. AT-CERE plays an important role in the project, as we will coordinate the demonstration of the technologies. Electricity driven carbon capture and utilization technologies have been developed in the Netherlands. AT-CERE will coordinate the construction of a container-sized demonstration-plant. We will also lead the demonstration that will take place at 3 different locations in EU: Greece, Denmark and Romania.

The job
The responsibilities of the project manager include:

  • Communication with national and international companies on the highest level (CEOs, CTOs, etc.)
  • Give presentations for small and large audiences
  • Take responsibility in executing the demonstration project
  • Ensure the project is within the DTU guidelines and strategies
  • Re-evaluate the project goals in compliance with available resources, as the project tasks may prove difficult to reach or the budget has to be changed due to unexpected expenses
  • Hire and employ researchers and technical staff for different tasks
  • In-house communication with the administration at DTU
  • Take charge in coordinating meetings
  • Handling paperwork for demonstration permits

Our expectations of you

  • We expect you to have an academic degree of MSc or higher.
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Out-spoken character
  • Experience with the execution of demonstration projects
  • Good understanding of the Danish/European visions and strategies within the green transition
  • Experience with budgeting of national and international projects with both the public and private sector
  • Exceptional communication skills, to be able to communicate the vision of the projects to both researchers, CEOs, the public and funding agencies.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment of the special consultant will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The expected start is 1 august 2021 and for a period of 2 years.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
