BIOINTENSE

This project was a knowledge based bio economy (KBBE) collaborative FP7 project focusing on increasing biocatalyst productivity and process intensity.

It was intended to reach economically feasible processes by integration and intensification while at the same time shortening the development times through development of optimized tools and protocols that can widely be applicable in industry. The project was coordinated by Professor John M. Woodley and developed a range of miniaturized standard units for the rapid and cost effective experimental investigation of key characteristic parameters of biocatalytic reactions.

The project ran from 2012-2016.
