Experience with demonstration project required

We are looking for a skilled project officer to manage and administrate several large demonstration projects at the AT CERE Research Centre, DTU Chemical Engineering. The projects are all within the field of green technologies with a focus on gas cleaning and conversion.

The job
The responsibilities of the senior project officer include:

  • Administration of at least 4 large demonstration projects
  • Communication with national and international companies on the highest level (CEOs, CTOs, etc.)
  • Initialize new projects with industrial partners
  • Apply for funding in the order of 50 M DKK, with an expected success rate of 10-20%
  • Take responsibility in executing the demonstration projects
  • Ensure the projects are within the DTU guidelines and strategies
  • Re-evaluate the project goals in compliance with available resources, as the project tasks may prove difficult to reach or the budget has to be changed due to unexpected expenses
  • Hire and employ researchers on the different projects
  • In-house communication with the administration at DTU

Our expectations of you

  • We expect you to have an academic degree of PhD or higher.
  • Experience with the execution of demonstration projects
  • Good understanding of the Danish/European visions and strategies within the green transition
  • Successfully applied for funding at either Danish or international funding agencies
  • Experience with budgeting of national and international projects with both the public and private sector
  • To be able to put in the extra work when required due to deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills, to be able to communicate the vision of the projects to both researchers, CEOs, the public and funding agencies.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment of the special consultant will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). Remuneration will basically be done as a special consultant and on the basis of your qualifications. The expected start is 1st of April 2021. 

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
