DTU Chemical Engineering is looking for a competent student for Kinetic data analysis and Thermodynamic Modelling.

Chemical Engineering – AT-CERE
AT-CERE develops the energy resources of the future. Through both a theoretical and experimental approach, CERE is mapping subjects such as CO2 capture, transport, and storage, biogas, power-2-X technologies, and optimization of existing energy supplies.

We offer
A paid part-time job with the opportunity to carry out data analysis and thermodynamic modelling based on experiments previously carried out, expand your knowledge, understanding, and interpretation of experimental data, and get your name on a scientific publication. We have an informal work environment with colleges who are always ready to help.

The workload is approx. 10-15 hours a week and the position is starting at the beginning of June and ends at the end of October. The tasks that you will perform are the following:

  • Summarise and organize all the kinetic mesearuments done so far
  • Homogenous analysis of the kinetic data
  • Parameter fitting of Thermodynamic data with a thermodynamic model (Extended UNIQUAC)
  • Validation of the model with the new parameters

There will be a training period on all tasks and you can always ask for help.

Criteria
We are interested in students who are currently studying Chemical Engineering along with knowledge in the following areas:

  • Unit operations
  • Thermodynamics
  • Mass Transfer and reaction kinetics
  • Experimental knowledge in the above-mentioned areas is a bonus.

We are seeking a person who is responsible and can take initiative when things are not going as planned. 

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement for student lecturers at universities etc. (SUL). Be expected to start in the first week of June.
