Biogas, Biomethane and Natural Gas
Biomethane, as the final product of biogas upgrade, is a green alternative to natural gas and commonly injected into the existing gas grid infrastructure. Although biogas production on a digestion stage is quite well-known process, there are many biogas upgrade technologies to remove CO2, H2S and VOC’s from the raw biogas. Large diversity in the biomass feedstocks in a combination with differences in biogas upgrade techniques can create a challenge for the biomethane gas quality, especially when the biomethane is injected into the existing gas grids.
We have unique practical experience with real time, on-line measurements on biogas streams at various biomethane production stages: from raw-biogas to biomethane. We do measurements for major/minor gas composition, pressure and temperature at your process conditions and can provide you with the information you need. The measurements on gas transmission and distribution gas networks before/after gas odorization can be performed on-line at full gas pressures in the pipes.
