Non-thermal plasma-assisted gas reforming, ozone production and gas cleaning

Plasma as a firth state of matter has unique properties. Plasma can simply be generated with use of electricity only. Non-thermal plasma at atmospheric conditions is a non-equilibrium medium which has electrons at high electron temperatures and, at about ambient temperature, molecular “bath”. This non-equilibrium medium can generate, other than electrons, highly chemically reactive species which can initiate further chemical reactions and, therefore, form new chemical products in the plasma. One of the well-known plasma applications is ozone generation. Ozone can be generated on-site and can be used for e.g. gas and (waste) water cleaning in combination with a UV light.

Our industrial-grade powerful and transportable plasma generator can be used for different applications from ozone generation to plasma-assisted gas reforming and gas/liquid cleaning with additional enhanced UV light treatment. Ozone is good alternative to conventional NH3-assisted NOx removal in industrial processes. On-site measurements with the plasma generator and a powerful UV light sources are upon request.
