Do you have a passion for chemistry and technology?

As a student at DTU Chemical Engineering you will work both theoretically and experimentally with the core disciplines in chemical engineering such as unit operations, transport phenomena, reaction engineering, mathematical modelling and thermodynamics. You will be taught by faculty who are specialists within these areas with applications ranging from energy conversion to enzyme technology and biotechnology, polymers, computer modelling, process and product design.

As a student at the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering you will get to work in our unique pilot plant facilities as well as our Hempel Student Innovation Laboratory.

Summer University

Every year we invite students from all over the world into our pilot plant. Read all about our Summer University here.

Honours Programme

The Honours Programme is an ambitious and challenging elite programme in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and is offered to highly qualified students.

As a PhD student you will become a part of a research group and carry out independent scientific research including a written dissertation and a public defence of your PhD thesis.

Get a complete overview of the many BEng, BSc, MSc and PHD courses we provide at DTU Chemical Engineering and in collaboration with other departments.

Our student organisation 'KTStudents' represents students in the courses at the Department. Its goal is to improve the study environment for students through social and professional activities.

Engineering internship

Try working as engineer through our internship programme. Get a practical understanding of chemical and biochemical analyses, product and process development and learn about industrial plants and public control measures.
